Order Picker (Cold Store)

Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Komani passes through your hands first. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a frozen-food distribution centre in Komani. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
