Order Picker (Cold Store)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a frozen-food distribution centre in Pretoria West. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a frozen-food distribution centre on the Pretoria West side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
