Order Picker (Cold Store)

You'll keep a busy clothing distribution centre in Rosslyn stocked, picked and moving out on time. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Rosslyn. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
