Order Picker (Cold Store)

You'll keep a busy building-supplies depot in Tembisa stocked, picked and moving out on time. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a building-supplies depot in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
