Job Description

This vehicle finance collections floor in Paarl needs a calm negotiator who can hear "no" without giving up. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a vehicle finance collections floor in Paarl. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.

Must-haves

Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
Matric
Target-driven and comfortable with commission
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
