Job Description

Quick hands and good eyes are all a citrus packhouse near eMalahleni really needs from you. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a citrus packhouse in eMalahleni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

You'll need

Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Basic counting and reading for labels
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Arrives on time for early shifts

Overtime pay during peak weeks
