Job Description

Quick hands and good eyes are all a citrus packhouse near Kempton Park really needs from you. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is in Kempton Park (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

You'll need

Basic counting and reading for labels
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Arrives on time for early shifts
Quick and neat with your hands
Valid ID or permit

Extra points for

Matric for QC posts
Forklift licence for palletising roles
