Job Description

Fruit from a berry packing facility near Mokopane ends up on shelves overseas, packed by your hands. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work, day to day

Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures

What you need

Quick and neat with your hands
Basic counting and reading for labels
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Valid ID or permit
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Arrives on time for early shifts

Extra points for

Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Previous packhouse work
Matric for QC posts
