Job Description

Packing season at an export fruit packhouse near George means lots of shifts and lots of work. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is an export fruit packhouse on the George side of Western Cape.

The work, day to day

Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line

You'll need

Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Quick and neat with your hands
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays

Helpful, not essential

Forklift licence for palletising roles
Matric for QC posts

On offer

Overtime pay during peak weeks
Transport from nearby towns
Rehire for next season if you perform well
Protective clothing supplied
