Fruit from a table grape packhouse near Mthatha ends up on shelves overseas, packed by your hands. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet

• Quick and neat with your hands
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Basic counting and reading for labels

• Forklift licence for palletising roles
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
• Matric for QC posts

• Rehire for next season if you perform well
