Job Description

Quick hands and good eyes are all an export fruit packhouse near Stellenbosch really needs from you. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is an export fruit packhouse on the Stellenbosch side of Western Cape. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run

What you need

Basic counting and reading for labels
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Valid ID or permit
Quick and neat with your hands
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays

Nice if you have

Matric for QC posts
Previous packhouse work
Forklift licence for palletising roles

On offer

Transport from nearby towns
Overtime pay during peak weeks
Rehire for next season if you perform well
