Paint Shop Operator (Vehicle Manufacturing)

You'll build parts or whole vehicles on a moving line at the exhaust and catalytic converter plant in Fourways. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at an exhaust and catalytic converter plant in Fourways. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Rotate between stations as the team leader plans
• Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle
• Wear the correct PPE, including gloves, glasses and ear protection
• Record production counts and scrap on the shift board
• Follow standard work sheets and quality checkpoints at every step

• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights
• Lives close enough to reach the plant on time for every shift
• Able to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test
• Grade 12 certificate

• Basic computer skills
• Previous experience in an automotive plant
• NQF 2 in Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly through merSETA

• Shift allowance and paid overtime
