Palletiser (Export Packhouse) – Entry Level

Packing season at an avocado packhouse near Kuruman means lots of shifts and lots of work. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at an avocado packhouse in Kuruman. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
• Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run

• Quick and neat with your hands
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Valid ID or permit
• Basic counting and reading for labels

• Matric for QC posts
• Previous packhouse work
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.

• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Overtime pay during peak weeks
• Transport from nearby towns
