Job Description

A debt collection practice in Benoni needs strong legal admin so the attorneys can focus on the law. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a debt collection practice on the Benoni side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Type and format letters, notices and affidavits from dictation or drafts
Handle incoming calls and give clients straightforward progress updates
Keep personal information in files secure under POPIA
Manage the attorney's diary and book consultations
Capture payments and update debtor balances on collection matters

You'll need

Fast, accurate typing and strong Word formatting
At least 2 years in a law firm or legal department
Organised under pressure from several attorneys
Understanding of court rules and deadlines
Experience on legal software such as LegalSuite, AJS or GhostPractice
