Parts Interpreter (Counter & Workshop)

You'll be the link between customers and the workshop at the truck and bus dealership in Phalaborwa. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Phalaborwa-based, with most of your time spent at a truck and bus dealership. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Submit warranty claims with photos and technician reports
• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing
• Invoice completed jobs and explain the invoice at collection
• Book in vehicles, walk around with the customer and note existing damage
• Load bookings in the dealer management system
• Order stock and special parts, and follow up on back orders
• Count stock during cycle counts and year-end stocktake

• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role
• Calm and polite with customers, even when they are upset
• Matric, plus a motor industry background
• Code 08 licence

• Some mechanical training or a trade background
• Experience in a customer satisfaction survey-driven dealership

• Commission on parts sales or workshop turnover
• Paid brand training
• Monthly CSI bonus for customer ratings
• Company uniform
