Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

You'll control who comes in and out of a construction yard in East London, and log every visitor properly. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is East London-based, with most of your time spent at a construction yard. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags

• Speaks and writes basic English
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clean criminal record
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
