Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

The gate at a construction yard in Khayelitsha is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Khayelitsha, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer

• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record
• Speaks and writes basic English

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
