Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

You'll control who comes in and out of an office tower in Krugersdorp, and log every visitor properly. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Speaks and writes basic English

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Provident fund contributions
