Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter) – Fixed-Term

You'll control who comes in and out of a private school campus in Midrand, and log every visitor properly. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Midrand (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts

• Make sure your PSIRA fees are paid. A lapsed registration gets your CV thrown out, even if you have years of experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
