Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter) – Entry Level

The gate at a construction yard in Newcastle is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The work is in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Speaks and writes basic English
