Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

You'll control who comes in and out of an office tower in Welkom, and log every visitor properly. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Welkom (Free State). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols

• Speaks and writes basic English
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
