Job Description

Hard outdoor work on a road rehabilitation project in Atlantis, with a chance to learn a trade while you earn. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a road rehabilitation project in Atlantis. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed
Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
Clear rubble and load it into skips
Carry bricks, blocks and cement bags to where the bricklayers work
Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks

What you need

Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Prepared to travel between sites in the area
Willing to start early, often at 06:30

Extra points for

Previous site work you can show with a reference
A working-at-heights or scaffolding ticket
Some experience with a jackhammer, grinder or plate compactor
