Job Description

Every wall and slab on this low-cost housing development in Pietermaritzburg needs labourers, and the crew needs one more. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches
Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
Carry bricks, blocks and cement bags to where the bricklayers work

You'll need

Willing to start early, often at 06:30
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Grade 8 or higher
Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan

Extra points for
