Production Line Worker (Food Factory) – Immediate Start

Here in Pietermaritzburg, a snack food factory needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley

• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
