Job Description

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a retail head office in Epping, accurate to the cent. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a retail head office in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Calculate leave pay, notice pay and severance on terminations.
Keep payroll files and banking details secure under POPIA.
Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.
Declare UIF on uFiling and assist staff with UI-19 forms.
Run the payroll, check variances and get sign-off before cut-off.

Must-haves

SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
You triple-check figures before anything is paid
Trusted with confidential salary data
Matric plus a payroll, bookkeeping or HR qualification
Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
At least 2 years running a full payroll end to end
