Job Description

Behind every correct payslip at this security services company in Welkom is a careful payroll person. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a security services company on the Welkom side of Free State. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private.
Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Process garnishee orders, loans and third-party deductions.
Capture new hires, terminations and changes on Sage 300 People or VIP.
Declare UIF on uFiling and assist staff with UI-19 forms.

Must-haves

Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
At least 2 years running a full payroll end to end
Trusted with confidential salary data
SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
Hands-on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
