Payroll Clerk (Sage 300 People, Weekly Paid Staff)

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a labour-heavy mining contractor in Pretoria West, from clock data to bank file. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Pretoria West, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Capture new hires, terminations, increases and deductions before cut-off
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Release the salary bank file for authorisation
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms

• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA

• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
