Payroll Clerk (Sage 300 People, Weekly Paid Staff) – Experienced

People get paid right and on time because of you at a labour-heavy mining contractor in Sandton. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates

• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• You keep salary information private under POPIA

• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
