Payroll Clerk (Sage 300 People, Weekly Paid Staff)

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a labour-heavy mining contractor in Soweto, from clock data to bank file. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The site is in Soweto; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Release the salary bank file for authorisation

• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
