Payroll Clerk (Sage 300 People, Weekly Paid Staff)

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a labour-heavy mining contractor in White River, from clock data to bank file. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a labour-heavy mining contractor on the White River side of Mpumalanga. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Release the salary bank file for authorisation
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms

• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA

• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
