Job Description

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a security services company in Fourways, accurate to the cent. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a security services company in Fourways. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Reconcile medical aid, pension and provident fund schedules.
Calculate leave pay, notice pay and severance on terminations.
Capture new hires, terminations and changes on Sage 300 People or VIP.
Run the payroll, check variances and get sign-off before cut-off.
Keep payroll files and banking details secure under POPIA.
Process garnishee orders, loans and third-party deductions.

You'll need

Hands-on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
Matric plus a payroll, bookkeeping or HR qualification
SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
You triple-check figures before anything is paid
