Job Description

Payday is sacred, and at this payroll bureau in Benoni you'll make sure it lands right. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Benoni-based, with most of your time spent at a payroll bureau. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

The work, day to day

Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Capture new hires, terminations and changes on Sage 300 People or VIP.
Reconcile medical aid, pension and provident fund schedules.
Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.
Run the payroll, check variances and get sign-off before cut-off.

You'll need

Hands-on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
At least 2 years running a full payroll end to end
SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables

Helpful, not essential

Bargaining council levy and wage-rate experience
SAPA (South African Payroll Association) membership or certification
ETI claim experience
