Job Description

You'll help a pharmacy inside a supermarket in Harrismith dispense scripts, manage stock and advise patients at the counter. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Harrismith-based, with most of your time spent at a pharmacy inside a supermarket. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
Do cycle counts and flag stock discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist
Pick, count and label medicine for the pharmacist's final check
Capture scripts on the dispensing system and check them against medical aid rules
Prepare monthly chronic packs for collection or courier delivery

Must-haves

Accurate with numbers and careful with labels
SAPC registration as a Pharmacist's Assistant (Basic or Post-Basic)
Friendly and clear at a busy counter
Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation

Nice if you have

Wound care or family planning counselling short course
Experience with stock ordering through a wholesaler portal
Experience in a courier or chronic medication pharmacy
