Pharmacist's Assistant Learner (Learnership)

Work under a registered pharmacist at a courier chronic medication pharmacy in Klerksdorp and keep the dispensary running smoothly. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Klerksdorp, North West, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Do cycle counts and flag stock discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist
• Record cold-chain fridge temperatures twice a day
• Prepare monthly chronic packs for collection or courier delivery
• Receive stock, check expiry dates and pack shelves first-expiry-first-out
• Process medical aid claims and fix rejections before the patient leaves
• Capture scripts on the dispensing system and check them against medical aid rules

• Matric with Maths or Maths Literacy
• SAPC registration as a Pharmacist's Assistant (Basic or Post-Basic)
• Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
• Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation
• Accurate with numbers and careful with labels

• Fixed rota published a month ahead
• Paid SAPC registration fees at some groups
• Sponsored Post-Basic studies for Basic assistants
