Pharmacist's Assistant Learner (Learnership)

Patients at a courier chronic medication pharmacy in Paarl rely on you to get the right medicine into the right hands. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

• Pick, count and label medicine for the pharmacist's final check
• Do cycle counts and flag stock discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist
• Explain dosage, storage and side effects to patients in plain language
• Log Schedule 5 and 6 items in the register as they go out
• Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
• Receive stock, check expiry dates and pack shelves first-expiry-first-out

• Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation
• Friendly and clear at a busy counter
• Understanding of medical aid claim codes and PMB chronic rules
• SAPC registration as a Pharmacist's Assistant (Basic or Post-Basic)

• Experience with stock ordering through a wholesaler portal
• Experience in a courier or chronic medication pharmacy

• Fixed rota published a month ahead
• Staff discount on pharmacy and front-shop items
• Paid SAPC registration fees at some groups
