Physical Sciences Teacher (Grades 10-12)

A low-fee private school in Kimberley needs a teacher who can hold a class and lift the marks. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Kimberley-based, with most of your time spent at a low-fee private school. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Prepare Grade 12 learners for prelims and the NSC exams
• Teach your allocated classes and keep the pace of the ATP
• Attend staff meetings, subject meetings and district workshops
• Use data projectors, smartboards or tablets where the school has them
• Capture marks on SA-SAMS or the school's reporting platform before deadlines
• Plan weekly lessons against the CAPS annual teaching plan

• Good spoken and written command of the language of teaching
• Sound knowledge of CAPS and the assessment policy for your phase
• A B.Ed, or a degree plus PGCE, in the phase and subject you'll teach
• Full SACE registration (provisional registration only for student or newly qualified teachers)

• Add your matric results or pass rates for your classes if they improved; hard numbers beat adjectives.
