If you like working with animals, a broiler chicken farm near Welkom has steady, long-term work. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Clean pens, houses and milking equipment
Move animals between camps or pens calmly

What you need

Gentle and patient with animals
Comfortable around large animals
South African ID or a legal work permit
Able to live on the farm or close by

What's in it for you

Milk or meat rations
Training in animal health
Farm housing on site
Production bonus on milk yield or growth targets

How to apply for this job

Read the "What you need" list above. If you tick most of it, go ahead and apply.
Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): certified identity document plus any animal health course certificates.
Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 9 working days, usually by phone.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Welkom.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

How to stand out

For foreman roles, mention how many workers you supervised and what you were in charge of.
Stress reliability. Explain that you understand milking or feeding cannot be skipped.
