Plant Attendant (Tailings & Thickeners)

Keep throughput up and the plant stable at the platinum concentrator near Potchefstroom. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Potchefstroom, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report

• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science

• N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy
• Control room experience
• Forklift or overhead crane licence

• Learnership opportunities toward a metallurgy qualification
