Plant Attendant (Tailings & Thickeners)

The iron ore beneficiation plant near Randburg needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Randburg, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab

• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher

• N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy
• Forklift or overhead crane licence
