Playgroup Facilitator (Mornings)

You'll care for and teach young children at a Montessori pre-school in Klerksdorp, from nappies to first letters. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Klerksdorp, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
• Observe each child and note milestones in their development file
• Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
• Set up daily learning areas for art, blocks, reading and fantasy play
• Chat to parents at drop-off and pick-up about how the day went
• Follow the NCF daily programme and adapt it for each age group
• Prepare simple, nutritious snacks and keep the kitchen hygienic

• Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners
• ECD Level 4 or Level 5 qualification, or currently studying towards one
• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Matric

• Experience with children with special needs
• Speak more than one home language of the children you'll teach

• Apply for the Form 30 check early, as it can take weeks and many creches won't appoint without it.
• Put your ECD level and first aid certificate in the first lines of your CV; creches check these before anything else.
