Job Description

Know your way around SANS 10254 and a geyser drip tray? The commercial building contractor in Kempton Park wants to hear from you. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a commercial building contractor in Kempton Park. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes

You'll need

PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

Nice if you have

Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
