Plumber for Geyser Installations

You'll sort out burst geysers, leaks and blockages for the property management company in Boksburg. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is in Boksburg (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Issue plumbing Certificates of Compliance for completed installations
• Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
• Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
• Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
• Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes
• Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera

• At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
• PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
• Fit enough to lift a 150-litre geyser with a helper and work in tight roof spaces
• Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
• Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

• SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
• Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
• Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork

• Cellphone allowance for job updates and photos
• Fully stocked service van with a fuel card
• Protective clothing and safety boots replaced yearly

• Put your PIRB number at the top of your CV. Insurance contractors check it before they read anything else.
• Do not list every plumbing task you have ever done. Focus on geysers, drainage and CoCs, which is what these jobs pay for.
