Plumber's Helper (Residential) – Immediate Start

Hard outdoor work on a road rehabilitation project in George, with a chance to learn a trade while you earn. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The site is in George; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines
• Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
• Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
• Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor
• Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches

• Willing to start early, often at 06:30
• You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
• Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
• Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
• Prepared to travel between sites in the area

• A working-at-heights or scaffolding ticket
• Registered on your ward or municipal job-seeker database
• Some experience with a jackhammer, grinder or plate compactor

• Paid weekly or fortnightly
