Job Description

Questions come to you at a short-term insurer in Epping, and you answer them with data. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work is in Epping, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python

You'll need

Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
Advanced Excel
Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs

Extra points for

Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit
Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification
