Practice Manager (Dental Practice) – Entry Level

Every claim you code correctly at this busy general practice in Mokopane gets paid faster. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a busy general practice on the Mokopane side of Limpopo. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Chase short payments with medical schemes and patients
• Request pre-authorisation for scans, procedures and admissions
• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Check medical aid membership and benefits before each consultation
• Book appointments and manage the doctor's diary on the practice software
• Take payments, issue receipts and balance the cash-up at close

• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• Friendly on the phone and firm about outstanding accounts
• Sound knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical aid tariff codes
• Matric
• At least 2 years in a medical practice, hospital or billing bureau
• Confident with Excel and email

• Bookkeeping basics or Pastel knowledge for practice accounts
• Experience with hospital case management and pre-auth
• Medical terminology or clinical coding certificate

• Bonus linked to collections at billing bureaus
