Pre-School Teacher (4 to 5 Year Olds)

Little ones at a Montessori pre-school in Roodepoort learn through play, and you'll set up that play. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a Montessori pre-school in Roodepoort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
• Set up daily learning areas for art, blocks, reading and fantasy play
• Clean and sanitise toys, mats and tables at the end of the day
• Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
• Observe each child and note milestones in their development file

• Matric
• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer
• Clear Form 30 child protection check and police clearance

• Lunch provided on school days

• Sponsored ECD Level 5 studies

• Add one sentence about an activity you ran that the children loved; it shows you can plan, not just supervise.
• Apply for the Form 30 check early, as it can take weeks and many creches won't appoint without it.
