Process Controller (Gold Plant) – Entry Level

Plant work suits people who watch the numbers and react fast. The chrome recovery plant near Kimberley needs you. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Kimberley, Northern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report

• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays

• Forklift or overhead crane licence
• Laboratory or sampling experience
• N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy

• Transport from surrounding towns

• Put your maths and science marks on your CV if you are early in your career. Plants use them as a screen.
