Production Assistant (Chemical Blending) – Permanent

Good factory hands stay for years, and this soft drink bottling plant in Centurion trains from day one. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Centurion, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers

• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded

• Some basic first-aid training
• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory

• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Staff shop with discounted factory products

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
