Production Assistant (Chemical Blending)

You'll keep the line running at a furniture assembly factory in Centurion, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Centurion; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers

• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Available for rotating day and night shifts

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate

• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Path to machine operator after six months
• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
