Production Assistant (Chemical Blending) – Immediate Start

You'll keep the line running at a snack food factory in Randburg, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a snack food factory.

• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe

• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection

• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Staff shop with discounted factory products

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
